VPFSM technology is an environmentally-friendly process that yields branded proprietary polymer products in a wide range of densities and hardnesses that cannot be made by any other manufacturer. Installations have been completed in Tupelo, MS, Orange, CA, Cornelius, NC, and Auburn, IN.
The VPFSM process does not use CFCs, eliminates volatile organic blowing agents from the foaming process and actually exceeds the Clean Air Act requirements.
The VPFSM chamber contains two steel-reinforced sub-chambers divided into three sections. The first section is lined with a specially designed paper-backed polyethylene film. The chamber retains the chemical mixture as it expands and polymerizes into a "bun." The lining substrate is removed, the bun is cut and enters the chamber's second section where the first of two exhaust fans remove process emissions.
The third section of the chamber through which the foam passes is a completely air-locked enclosure programmed to alternate between atmospheric and chamber pressure conditions in order to remove the bun and operate the VPFSM process continuously. Any remaining process emissions are removed here.
